This audio program features current news and information from the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

On January 9, 2006 AHRQ released its 2005 National Healthcare Quality Report and National Healthcare Disparities Report. In recognition of that effort, this week's Healthcare 411 will be dedicated to these two reports.

  • AHRQ News & Numbers discusses the number of Hispanics who reported being uninsured for 2 years or more.
  • An interview with AHRQ Director Dr. Carolyn Clancy about what the Quality and Disparities Reports are all about.
  • A discussion on the specific findings of the Quality Report with Dr. Dwight McNeil.
  • And finally, a conversation with Dr. Ernest Moy, lead staff for the Disparities Report.
